Adorno's Progress Beginning Where It Ends
The title of the book refers to Adorno's claim that, quote, progress begins where it ends. The author says he is trying to distinguish between two different aspects or understandings of progress. He wants to mobilize both as a response to some contemporary Frankfurt School critical theorists like Tom McCarthy and Axel Hahnert who have arguedcritical theory needs an idea of progress in order to be genuinely critical.
