How Will David Be Restored?
David was not a priest. David did not lead in the temple. One of the things that God makes super clear to David after this incident is you cannot, you will not, like you won't even build the temple. We forget that David actually is a guy who has acquired eight wives. All of those wives were acquired in deals, none of them in any sort of romantic kind of idea of equality or dignity or mutual respect. And she never could have given free consent because she's dealing with an absolute ruler.
