I think marketing is always one of these elusive things. I believe developer relations is marketing. It's marketing that no one in the audience should ever perceive as marketing. As an engineer, I don't want to feel like I'm being marketed to. And so that's kind of the attitude that I would take, especially building any sort of technical product.
