The Origins of the Commodities Corporation
Paul Samuelson was an early proponent of the efficient market hypothesis. He also had a side gig called Commodities Corporation, which traded commodities. When it first got started, they'd used various academic theories of supply and demand in order to make money. It wasn't until they brought on traders who were using technical analysis to trade that they started becoming profitable.
