What Animals Have or Do Not Have Phenomenal Consciousness?
The advent of phenomenal consciousness did involve a kind of sultation, a sudden change in the way the brain works. We wake up to be surrounded by this world of sensations and that's what I use as a basis for saying that something happened of an all or nothing kind in the brain. Just as a detect, there's no no difference between nothing different between sleep and wakefulness. What I focus in on is feedback loops. Attracting states generated by a simple feedback loop can have not just one or two or three dimensions, not just 100 dimensions.
