"I saw a figure all in black, stopped on the road and staring my way," she says. "I ran flat out down the bridge across the parkway and up the steps until I reached the road atop the hill before I turned and looked back." Other friends later told her about black robed figures on campus; some men offered women safe escorts to their dorms after that incident.
