Esau wanted the blessing but he's lost his senses in his anger and rage. He saw here as an example to avoid a warning for you right now not to want the blessings without the responsibility. An emotional response does not necessarily equate to repentance. Godly sorrow, not human sorrow, godly sorrow where you recognize your sin against God.
