The Battle of No Man's Land
The French Admiral decided to send a group of five galleys into the attack. They took up position at place known as No Man's Land, halfway between the French fleet and the English fleet. The area is relatively shallow so the big English ships couldn't sail there but the galleys could because they didn't draw very much water underneath their vessels. Now the French galleys have got forward facing artillery. The English ships don't. So that means that the French can bring guns that they can fire directly at the bowels of the English ships without the English being able to fire back at them.
