Is Social Media Driving Polarization?

In some ways the platforms themselves are a massive experiment on society. And we don't really know what the variables are how they interact, certainly we no longer have a control. I think that it's a widespread perception that political and social polarization, especially in the United States has grown because of the influence of social media. But my paper suggests or show a very different mechanism through which social media might call cause polarization, which does fit the sort of evidence in terms of the existence That echo chambers don't exist so much in on mainstream platforms such as Facebook.
