The Importance of Dialogue in Organization Design
I think in general, the reason that I'm in organization design and organizational change as an industry is I think that the choices that founders and leaders make are the biggest lever on culture. The word bureaucracy just causes us all to almost just continue to sit there because the word alone is just so ominous. We don't give ourselves permission to say, wait a second, the way we work is something that we choose. And if it's not serving us, then it's sort of incumbent on us to start wiggling our way out of it.
