The Treachery of the Entire Group Who Tried to Assassinate the Prophet

So this is the famous incident that we all hear about that they who wanted to throw a rock on him this is the Banu Nadiir. Later on many years later he revealed Surat al-Māida and Surat al Māida of course it was one of the last Surahs revealed and Allah ﷺ referenced in one ayah just in passing this incident. So there's nothing fishy per se for having him wait outside while they prepare and they get a feast and they sacrifice an animal this is understood.
