Are These Members Angling for Influence With the President or With His Aids?
There was a pretty remarkable scene at maralago about a week or so ago that illustrated all the quandaries of having the presidency moved to a members only club. I think it's clear that they have influence, even if they aren't angling for it. Theyre being asked their advice on major initiatives. And they could give good advice. But again, this intersection here of the public and the private is unprecedented american.
