I remember at the time there was a sense that the Chinese army, there were units that were unwilling to do. There was one detachment where the general actually refused to allow his troops to be part of it. So there was, even within the establishment, there were people who were not on board. What then happened was that they bought in troops from outside Beijing to do the state's bidding. These young, scared country boys who were sort of trucked in. And even when they deployed them, the orders that they gave were really quite vague.
