The New York Times Case - How Did It Come About?
I was giving a talk somewhere in texas about recaptuong what we could do with it. It turned out that the cito of new york times at the time was actually in the audience. And he came to me at the inn and said, i know what you can digitize with this. We have this huge archive of all the dishes of theNew York Times. So then after that, google decided to buy recapture to help with their book degitization efforts. I don't think anything had changed. Just at some point i sort of understood more how the world works.
