I feel like New York is always depicted as much cooler than LA, which is why I'm always really thankful when LA is written in fiction. There's a little bit of New York envy that creeps into the journalism. As if the New York City Council isn't also very corrupt. And so, you know, people joke about this all the time, but there is truth to it.
