The Supreme Court's Decision to Block Oversight of a Private Company
The Mazars case is on appeal and the appellate oral argument is going to be on Friday. President Trump in his personal capacity brought suit against essentially against the House Oversight Reform Committee and also his own accounting firm Mazars. Essentially what the President is arguing through his lawyers is that the request for this information, this accounting information, lacks a legislative purpose. It's not something Congress has empowered to do.
