In 1932, the Justice Department decided that GE owning RCA was an antitrust violation. That's when RCA became a public company run by David Sarnoff. In 1986, our hero Jack Welch buys back RCA for $6.4 billion at that point,. And everybody like Harold's Jack Welch is like this hero for doing this incredible deal which by then RCA also owned NBC. But of course, nobody has that kind of a memory.
