Did the Wild Boar Go Extinct?

The wild boar did go extinct in england by the thirteenth century. But there's two, two sorts of caviats to that. A before the great improvers of the ar of the later, sort of eighteenth and nineteenth century, a wild boar would have been very similar to domestic pigs. And so if you went out into the woods and saw a creature which was like a wild boars, but actually wasn't, wasn't really wild, does that count as a wild boAR? So again, a difficult one.
