The Relationship Between Chaucer and Gaunt

Chaucer was originally a part of the english army. So he went on campaign with gaunt. And it was likely that he went with gaunt on a particular campaign in 13 59 into france, where they were gone for about six months. An that was on that campaign that chaucer was actually capturedand he likely talks about that period of captivity amin his work. But i don't think that he er patronized chaucer's work thereafter. However, i think he did enable chaucer to get some rolls within er the service of the crown. It's a difficult relationship to explain. We don't really know. But what they seem to have done it sort of moved
