The Second Cycle of Pharaoh's Punishment
The idea here is that dust is turned into nats, and dust is cursed. It's a living curse on men that we see here. Then the magician said to pharaoh, this is the finger of god. But pharaoh's heart was harded, and he did not listen to them,. The grace of having a prophet speak to you instead of confronting the lord himself, is now gone. And so judgment is drawing nearer moses. Judgments are much more severe in cycle two and three. Goshan is excluded. God set h people apart in anticipation of the redemption to come.
