The Moral Dimension of Computer Gaming

Evaluative ethics are able to no matively distinguish between different actions, because instead of starting with rules, they start with moral goals. So for example, nomative differences between plain murder and real murder become very obvious. The latter causes extreme pain to at least one living person and takes her out of existence; the first one does not have a comparable effect in the real world. This dimension helps us to differentiate between play actions and ordinary actions.
