Michael Ponte: I was skeptical, but I was also super interested because my interest in gambling centered on how do people who actually beat an unbeatable game do their thing. Blackjack actually is one of the games where players can get an advantage and can beat the game. Most of them, they can't. So I was fascinated to try to meet somebody who could actually beat this game. He says Big Daddy Rick Matthew saw in him a bright responsible professional type scribbling things down in his notebook; he invited him to play golf with him.
