The Perverse Filmgoer

The enjoyment of a film comes from all the ways in which they interpret away what it's doing. Like every, it's almost like the interpretation hits the rock of the real or directs you to this, to the real where you enjoy the film. It adds this enjoyment of I'm challenging the authority of the film while I'm pointing this out or interpreting it in this way. So that's a perverse kind of enjoyment, but it's still connected to the failure of the symbolic structure.
