The Disjunction Between Hamlet and Hamlet
This is rather important to me, but I've never seen Polonius played well in terms of the way I read Polonius. How did he come to be treated as a before? Because Hamlet says so, but why do we believe Hamlet at that moment? Well, that's a fascinating thing about the play in general. It seems to me there's a constant disjunction between Hamlet's reading, both of his own self and of the wider situation. And what we actually see interms of the overall action.
