The relationship between england and scotland was very personal to elizabeth norton. It's not just a ceremonial title, it actually is partly a blood line as well. The two nations were separate kingdoms throughout the mediaeval an into the sixteenth century. And i thought it was really great to see some of the scottish regalia on show in saint giles's cathedral.
