Vocal variety is so interesting to me. I know that I don't have any formal training in anything, but I find myself just getting lost in the words and I find myself going up and down in range. And I don't necessarily know why. So that's why you're here today to teach me. This subject of voice is something that's so critical in public speaking. It's something everyone tells you is important, but nobody ever tells you how to do it or how to affect the sound of your voice. That's why my background as an opposite singer is so critical here because I know how to breathe in a way that produces a strong, resonant, powerful voice."
