The Importance of Trend Following
In 1959, Nicholas Darvis wrote that he followed the trend with his stop loss insurance behind him. He said if a usually inactive stock suddenly became active, he would consider this unusual and buy it. What a great way to also reframe the thinking, to reframe what trend following is - you are the silent partner on the trend. You do not know why the smart money is pushing the market or moving the market. You don't know and you don't care. If it goes down and it hits a point, you have to get the blank out.
