The Relationship Between Trend and Mean Revulsion
The use of Black Schol in 1987 is not a vivid example of how things can go wrong when wrong models are used. There's clearly a wide end to extrapolate past trends, and that's probably a way to extrapolate the motion of a tiger jumping on us or something that makes us alive today. So my intuition is that it's much harder to go against a trend than it is to follow the trend.
