But then it has the unfortunate connotation that all these women knocked in a room,. what were they talking about all day? And it could could be quite a bardy environment, you know, lots of rude jokes going round. That's where we get the idea of em gossiping - which comes from worries about what women might have been talking about. Your book is about a midwife working during the great plague of 16 65. How did the plague t the experience of talberth?
