The Meaning of Ras'ala in the Quran
The term Arasala it means to let go, to let loose. And typically with something but not always with something. Ibn al-Ambari one of the great early scholars of the Arabic language he actually derives an interesting point. He says Arasool is only called Ras'ala if the person who is sent the messenger will follow up on the delivery of the message. Rather he's not just going to deliver and then walk away. That is why Ras'ala is called Ras’ala classically.
