At the crest of this joyful chaos as our limousine runs out of gas, dawn intrudes with its blunt cruelty as I awake. Lily Tomlin laughs as I ache, my heart plunged into a deep despair by the knowledge that flight, fruit cups, and the beauty of the perfect split show their resplendence in a land that exists only when my eyes are closed.
