Withholding Taxes for Gambling With Winnings

A UK gambler is subject to the same 30% withholding as a US player on wins of $12,000 or above. You can claim tax treaty benefits, but in order to do so, we require one of two things: either an ITIN or a withholding agent who can notarize ID and file. Once you have the ITIN, you should carry this around with you with your ID. And if you hit a hand pay, show it along with your ID and you'll be paid in full regardless of where you're playing.
