How Did You Become Interested in the History of Management?
i used to get into trouble when i was at industrial relations conferences, because i kept they always focused on labor and unions. But it was getting these management ideas that started me looking at tailorism,. partly because it was like everybody would say, oh, tailorism, dar dare hate it. Terrible. And i wanted to explore that a little bit further. That's when i tarted out the life of walter nicholas polikov in the tailors society. He was one of those followers of frederick winslow taylor who most sought to keep those ideas alive.
