The Pain of Dying Is Beyond Drugs
I think we often hear these days of the concept of a good death as though somehow if you do death right it's not going to hurt at all. I'm always far too busy and kind of working too hard and juggling too many things however for me being an activist and fighting and campaigning for the British National Health Service is absolutely just part and parcel of what I do as a doctor. We are meant to have a cradle to grave health service in this country funded by taxpayers so that everybody in need receives high quality health care that's a defining principle of the country interestingly palliative hospices can be very difficult places but they're also incredibly rewarding.
