Three Things We Don't Give Much Thought to When We Come to the Earth
When the Holy Spirit came to the earth, he had these three primary purposes in mind when it comes to how he relates to people who are unbelieving. First of all, he is convicting them of their sin. He's showing them the impact of sin on their own lives and their need for repentance. And then finally he says the Holy Spirit will convict the world concerning judgment because the ruler of this world is judged. But don't miss that last phrase: Satan himself has already been judged by God.
