I was surprised to learn that his lawyer had these notes. Trump himself is notoriously allergic to preserving information in a written way. It's all evidence, as it is alleged by prosecutors, that Evan Corcoran was unwittingly used as an instrument to mislead the government. I think Corcoran may have wisely thought that many Trump lawyers have ended up in legal jeopardy before and he may have thought, I don't want to find myself in that situation.
