The Importance of Managing Expectations

Doug: The unit of analysis shouldn't be just one game and that's it's like your creative practice. Even within development of one game if the first screenshot you put up publicly is like a super rough thing on Twitter. That's probably the first thing people will ever see of that game whenever they Google it so there's little a million little thoughtful things like you can do throughout the process to sort of stack the deck in your favor towards the end. Doug: You have a tremendous power in framing your work and not a lot of people that I've witnessed are as good at this as me.
