I think the movieis playing with the idea of being in the perspective of these characters. Something that's incredibly present throughout the whole film is like ritual again and again. I remember him saying at the very end, like he's guno cut the thread of fath like he's gung to make his own destiny. So we're kind of subjectively within that, and the movie doesn't really let us step outside of that.
