The Perception Outside Isn't Matching the Perception
The perception of Gerard Lampeau is very different as a Villa fan to the outside world. The reality at the moment isn't matching the perception, isn't it? I think the Liverpool thing is always going to dog him until he either gets the job or it becomes so abundantly clear that it would be like giving Steve Bruce the Man United job - which looks more likely at the moment. But only time will tell, but with Gerard, I think that's a good point. It could have helped Lampeau to get the Chelsea job out the way, perhaps.
