Alan DeBaughton: The eternal quest is to remain open to some of the more, if you like, naive, but also dazzlingly simple and visceral insights that our minds give us into all sorts of problems. Sometimes we can overcomplicate and layer on top of our feelings all kinds of inhibitory systems, which prevent us from knowing who we really are or what we find funny or dark or charming or sad. And so I think it's always a balance.
