People of african descent during the tudor period had a range of different occupations. Their status was varied and diverse, from the very lowest status to going up to the highest stateas we got visiting afAfrican dignitaries being baptized in english churches. We can presume perhaps the worst, but they are recorded in the records. They don't have one status. This is very important, because the idea of the science of race backed up by law that we associate with the eiht nineteenth century isn’t there?
