I helped the self-destruction of Richard Nixon. I played a very important role kind of inadvertently, but you became a player in the Watergate scandal. The papers themselves had no effect on the war. They did not. In fact, the bombing intensified after the publication of your papers. But I was wrong because they had scared Nixon that I would tell things about his administration. Which I knew, but I didn't have the documents. And without the documents, I convinced no one.
