Gravitational waves are usually extraordinarily weak. The major source of gravitational radiation is probably these encounters between black holes. This will mean that we have this gravitational radiation coming out from an encounter between black hole. And here we have the cross over surface, which should really be a three dimensional surface. That's us up here looking back. What we are seeing is the micro wave background,. That is a surface just after the big bang, where the radiation, the c m b, is coming from.
