Kevin McCarthy's Secret Tape on the Insurrection
House minority leader Kevin McCarthy, top Republican who was in the house that was devastatingly attacked in the insurrection, has been all over the place on the issue. He may recall him at times condemning aspects of it, at times saying he was sick of Trump right afterward. But now we have newly revealed audio. This is from June 2021, where McCarthy defends Trump, talking to Capitol police officers and the mother of one of the officers who died.
