Gawain was captured by the king of Camelot and taken to a dungeon. Merlin told him that his father had died in an accident some months ago. He offered Gawain freedom on two conditions: One, he would be a knight for Arthur; second, he wanted King Pelinor's head. "I'm not saying you have to take the deal, but take the deal," Merlin said. 'You'll just have to learn to live with the loss'
