The Turkish Leader's Competitive Understanding of the Western-Russian Relationship
Russia is an example that is working superficially and that the Turkish leader looks like he's emulating. The Russian economy today is one-fifteenth the size of the American economy. They began to stagnate when oil was a hundred dollars a barrel. At fifty dollars a barrel or worse the Russian regime is hard pressed to compete with the United States, especially since they're already only one-tenth the size of our defense budget.
