The T Shaped Analyse
i'm a big fun of that t shaped analogys having breadth, but then also having depth in one area. There may be cases where there are certainties that come with the tuol. So f you're a generalest an, your doing this and your fulfilled, because you don't get to go that step further and become an expert, that's probably a sign that you try a hand at being a specialized specialization. But i think everybody does have that vertical component to them too. And some people really like one over the other. It works for certain folks, but for others, it doesn't.
