Can Dc Offset Damage Speakers?

If you just leave gear on, how can that hurt speakers? But in fact, it can't. If one or more of your pieces of gear are spitting out what's called d c offset voltage. Your woofer is always pushed a little bit. That will damage the speaker overtime. Very slowly, it will distort the shape of the cone and you'll eventually end up with a premature grind on that woofer.
