In Florida, grade school educators will soon be banned from teaching students about sexual orientation and gender identity. The state Board of Education yesterday approved expanding the states don't say gay law to all K through 12 grades. In Illinois, President Johnson asked state lawmakers to increase funding for schools and youth employment. He says these initiatives can help reduce crime among teens.
