How to Block Out the Noise
I'm amazed when I see people who've been from such abusive groups that find their way to some sort of a belief system that makes sense for them. There's a lot, you know, you can tell a lot about the health of a group when they're trying to work with other like minded groups. Being part of a group that has been around for more than 200 years and all its founders are dead could be helpful. Even if the groups they cooperate with don't have exactly the same belief system, but they probably share elements of their value system.
